Enjoy a fun filled hour in our garden gazabo with Annie, our lampshade making expert. Annie will show you how to make a stunning, bespoke lampshade for your home. You will be able to get hands on and ask any questions so that when you leave you are ready to go!

The Basics of Sashiko with Sherri Conn

Sashiko is used to create stunning textile pieces, the patterns adding both texture and beauty to plain fabrics. Sashiko is a fantastic way to repair or embellish clothing to make truly unique items. This workshop will give you an overview of the art and some basic skills to help you start your zen embroidery.

Basics of Upholstery with Jan Silvera

We are delighted to welcome Jan back to lead our upholstery workshops. Jan will demonstrate the basics of upholstery so you leave ready to tackle a footstool, kitchen chair or similar project. She will pass on top tips that will add a professional finish to your project.

Saturday 11th
CATH On the Mend family upcycling

On the Mend is an upcycling project from Churches Action for the Homeless promoting the positive impacts of getting together to learn new skills, connecting with your community and reusing rather than buying new.

On the Mend will offer two ‘join in and make’ workshops showing creative ways to reuse fabric. Our first workshop will be creating decorated chalk paint jars for all your crafty bits and bobs and the afternoon workshop will be making macramé plant hangers from pre loved t-shirts. On the Mend is about getting people involved and coming together through making and mending these workshops are open to all (suitable for children over 12).

All our workshops are FOC but you may want to consider a donation to CATH On the Mend.
