County Fabrics is family run business and our small team operate as quickly as possible to get your items dispatched to you. We are not a multi-national so unfortunately do not have the infrastructure to guarantee next day delivery (although we try our best!). We pick all our orders from our shop in Crook of Devon that is near Kinross in central Scotland (come and have a look if you are ever passing nearby).
At busy times it can take can us take up to 2 working days to dispatch items. We aim to offer a great customer experience both online and in our showroom and to dispatch your goods as quickly.
As you can imagine due to the weight and size of fabric we are charged a higher delivery rate than for items that can be sent in a box. We strive to source the most competitive and reliable couriers for our customers as we understand that the addition of shipping costs is not ideal. We try to make our delivery costs as competitive as possible by sending small items or small quantities of folded fabric via Royal Mail. We currently use Fedex for larger packages of fabric on the roll (although we constantly review to ensure we are providing the best courier service).
If you are in desperate need of a next day service please contact us as we can hopefully arrange subject to a surcharge.
We hope you understand our need to apply delivery charges. Your custom and support of a small independent business is hugely appreciated. Thank you.
We work hard to limit our impact on our beautiful Perthshire countryside and the environment. We recycle as much packaging as possible by reusing undamaged packaging for orders going out. As a result, you may find that your packaging looks used, because it is! Don’t worry we will ensure your goods are safely tucked up inside!
In addition, we sort and take any unusable packaging to our local recycling centre. We are currently also looking at our packaging suppliers to ensure we are purchasing packaging that is as sustainable as possible.
Click and Collect
We are delighted to operate a click & collect service. Many customers find this useful if they (or a friend) are passing near the shop and can collect. This saves delivery costs and can speed up delivery.
When checking out please select store collection and there is a notes section if you want to put on any further information.
During the Covid 19 emergency our click & collect service is operated from a wooden shed in our car park. You will be notified with your goods are ready for collection.
Please note: Our shed has a sign on from Glendevon Energy, who installed our wood pellet boiler, but it is the County Fabrics collection point.
If you have any queries please contact us.
