Est. in 1984 County Fabrics is one of Scotland’s largest independent fabric retailers. We believe that a designer look needn’t come with a designer price tag. Our vast stock is both classic and contemporary. We specialise in sourcing discontinued designer fabrics for our customers that are available at a fraction of their original price. However, we can also source any current fabric and have over 300 books and hangers in store to view.
County Fabrics is located in a historic old Watermill in Crook of Devon near Kinross. We are often asked why Crook of Devon? The answer is that we can be easily accessed from anywhere in Central Scotland. Many of our highland-based customers visit when travelling south to Perth, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Our regular in-store customers visit us easily from Fife, Lothians, Clackmannan, Perthshire, Stirlingshire, Glasgow etc. Of course, if you can’t make it to the shop you can browse & buy many of our fabrics online.
Please pop in to meet the team and view our vast selection of fabrics in stock. We are open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm. Appointments outside these hours are available.
We provide a complete made-to-measure service and can send fabrics or made-up items anywhere in the world! In addition, we can measure and fit within Scotland.
Katie took over from her mum at County Fabrics in 2013. Having left a corporate career she now runs County Fabrics whilst looking after a busy home with three children. Katie spends a lot of time sourcing all the fabrics (with input from the team) and managing the business however she primarily enjoys helping customers. “After you have worked at a bank during a recession is is a joy to spend time at County Fabrics where we are all doing something we love and we have such fantastic customers.”
